Творческий путь начался еще в средней школе г. Ростова-на-Дону.

Солируя в популярном в ростовской области эстрадном коллективе «Казачок» занимал лидирующие и призовые места в областных и всероссийских конкурсах. Позже имел большую популярность, совершая ежегодные турне с эстрадным оркестром ростовского джаз-клуба по областям, краям, республикам в т.ч. Северного Кавказа, России, Украины, становясь лауреатом всевозможных конкурсов и фестивалей.

Лауреат Х11 всемирного фестиваля молодежи и студентов. Не случайно на протяжении 25 лет творческой жизни судьба сводит Сергея Ростовского на одной сцене с мэтрами российской и зарубежной эстрады: Дином Ридом, Иосифом Кобзоном, Людмилой Зыкиной, Николаем Денисовым, Владимиром Евзеровым, Валерием Леонтьевым, Надеждой Крыгиной, Петром Татарицким, Михаилом Жванецким, Ларисой Долиной, Евгением Осиным, Игорем Бутманом, Сергеем Пенкиным, Дмитрием Маликовым, ансамблем «Песняры», Анной Веске и др.. Душевность и мастерство артиста отмечены легендой российского джаза Олегом Лундстремом.

Под руководством Сергея Ростовского много лет стартовал фестиваль авторской песни на юге России. По составу участников и зрителей фестиваль мог уступить только Грушевскому. Здесь почетными гостями, участниками ,зрителями были такие известные люди как Владимир Ландсберг, Юрий Лорес и другие.

Голос Ростовского неоднократно звучал в стенах концертного зала «Россия», Кремлевского дворца съездов. 2010 год ознаменован удивительным событием – встречей с известным кутюрье Пьером Карденом. Карден высоко оценивает голос и творчества артиста, особо выделяет исполнение произведения «Катрин» (В. Евзеров, Н. Денисов).

Сентябрь 2010 г. Ростовский – специальный гость на праздновании Приднестровской Молдавской республики. Сегодня каждое выступление Сергея Ростовского – будь то Кремлевский Дворец, Концертный зал «Россия», концерт под открытым небом, на предприятии, в селе – встречают с особым теплом и радостью простых слушателей и поклонников, так как в каждую песню и выступление вложены частицы души и сердца певца…

Actor, author – performer, his repertoire includes variety songs, ballads, Russian folk songs, romances, arias from the musical comedies by Russian and foreign authors. He started his creatise way while a pupil at secondary school.

Being the soloist of the very popular in Rostov region variety ensemble “Cossachok” he won the leading and prize places in the all – Russian and regional competitions. Later he enjoyed great popularity touring annually with the variety and jazz orchestra of the Rostov jazz – club through the regions, alistricts and republics of North Caucasus, Russia, the Ukrain, becoming a laureate of various contests and festivals.

He is a laureate of 12th World festival of Youth and students. And it is not by fortuity that during 25 years of Sergei’s creative life Destiny breing him into the contact on one and the same variety stage with the masters of the Russian and foreign Variety art: Din Reed, Joseph Kobzon, Lydmila Zykina, Nikolai Denissov, Vladimir Levzerov, Valery Leontyev, Nadezhda Crygina, Peter Tatarsky, Mikhail Zhvanetsky, Larissa Dolina, Evgeny Ossin, Igor Butman, Sergey Penkin, Dmitry Malikov, ensamble “Pesnyary”, Anna Veske and others. The cordiality and high skill of this performer have been hoted by the legend of the Russian jazz Oleg Jundstrem.

Under the leadertship of Sergey Rostovsky the Festival of Author’s song has been held In the south of Russia for many years. Taking into conservation the cast of its participants, and the membership and amount of the Audience there one can put this festival onto the second place after the famous Grushevsky one. Such noted people like Vladimir Landsberg, Juri Lores and others used to be guests of honour, participants and viewers there.
Sergei Rostovsky’s voice repeatedly sounded in walls of the concert hall “Russia”, the Kremlin Palace of Congresses. The year 2010 was recorded with a remarkable event- the meeting with great Pierre Carden. Mr.Carden highly appreciated the voice and the creation of the performer Distinguishing his executing the composition “Katrin” (V. Yevzerov, N. Denissov) in particular.

2010, September, S. Rostovsky was a special guest at the celebrations of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian republic. Nowadays Sergey Rostovsky’s any appearance either at the Kremlin palace or the concert hall “Russia”, a concert in the open air, at an enterprise or in the country is welcomed by both common people and fans with particular warmth and joy, as every song and performance are fuul of the singer soul and heart.
